Design flaws on impact and dot matrix printer ribbons

They have a design flaw and are made of not so high quality thin/cheap plastic. both I broke before they were half used. I managed to fix one with a razor blade and tape but it's far from perfect. Other, higher-quality replacement straps are available for the selectric II, e.g. original IBM design b. actually cheaper than this product and c. made of thicker/durable plastic.
