hello, tired of paying an outrageous sum for those holiday lighted balls hanging from your trees and porches? make your own with this large 10 inch solid lightweight ball. we used the echosari 100 led outdoor string of fairy lights with a remote wrapped around the whole ball. the lights wrap neatly and they are remote controlled, so no architect designed cord hiding is necessary. but where do you put the battery box so it stays out of the weather? neatly slice into the bottom area of the solid ball in the same shape as the battery box width and depth. try to keep the pattern chunk whole as you will need it for the trap door once the battery box is inside. the wrapped led lines will hold the trap door together, or use a clear tape to secure it. on the bottom should keep it out of the elements during the wet season. the remote does work, so now you have a free floating ball with 100 bright led outdoor lights that twinkle in many patterns. a medium screw eyelet can be used for the top hanging post. a monofilament hanging line should make this ball "free floating" in mid air for an eerie effect. yrmv an excellent product and great for projects
