Review on 🖥️ Samsung DVD-VR300 DVD Recorder VHS Player Combo by Christopher Smith

I returned this product (and bought the Panasonic DMR-ES30VS) for two main reasons. First, the remote control is almost unresponsive. You need to point it at exactly the right spot on the device for it to work. As such, the keys tend to be repeatedly pressed at "different" angles just to get a response. This is VERY annoying and will drive you crazy! I thought maybe the batteries that came with the remote control are bad.? but the replacement set was no better. Then, when I saw other reviews of the same experience, I realized it was just bad design for remote access. What seems strange to me is that I have a Samsung DLP TV and its remote control (similar in shape and design) does not exhibit this phenomenon. Second, there are no INPUT jacks on the unit. It's as if Samsung's engineers decided that this device and the TV will be the only entertainment devices consumers will own. It has component and S-Video OUTPUT jacks, but the only INPUT jack is a weak composite jack. For people like me who use their only HDMI port for their cable box, the lack of good INPUT ports was a huge disappointment. Unlike the Panasonic I switched to, it at least has S-Video INPUT jacks, allowing me to connect my cable box to mine more efficiently. DVD recorder. IMO, it's also a superior image and a more intuitive interface.
