I've been buying these bulbs since 2014, gradually replacing the old bulbs and using them for new lamps. I've bought a lot of these (maybe 40 or so) and they've been great and I've never had a single rejection. Until recently. Last year they completely changed the design (see photo). If you look at the bulbs, old and new, they are all called LA927KND6, but the model number has changed over the years (A19028 in 2016 and now A190628). The new ones are more compact and much lighter, which I think is a good thing (the old ones were bigger and heavier than standard bulbs, which could be an issue with some lights). The color they give off is very similar to all lamps. But the reliability seems to be much worse. None of my old bulbs have failed, but I have had 3 new bulbs that have failed within a year of installation. One of them has just stopped working, and the other two have started flickering or will turn off spontaneously. I might keep buying these bulbs because I love the color they give off and want new bulbs to match the ones I already have. The color isn't as yellow as most "soft white" bulbs, but it's not a bright blue either. They are also slightly brighter than traditional incandescent bulbs. But if I were to buy lightbulbs again, I wouldn't choose these. I don't think any of these new lamp models will last the advertised lifespan.
