If you are planning a trip to the top of Everest or a safari in Africa, make a documentary. If you're into extreme sports or stranded on a volcano that might erupt soon, then this battery grip isn't for you. But if you're like me and most of your movies/photos take place in a quiet environment. or simply indoors and safely in a controlled situation. Then it will be perfect. The plastic is cheap, it doesn't look like something that costs $200 or so. It's like the price you pay. But as they say, I love this business to death. The hot-swap factor, where I can replace the dough without removing my camera from the tripod, helps my sanity insanely. and the convenience of being able to use AA batteries in a pinch is a bonus factor.
