Review on Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens - Compatible with Canon DSLR Cameras (Lens Only) by Gabriela Michalska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

1. If you have to choose between 17-55 and 24-105, don't even entertain the idea of going with 17-55! - It is superior in a variety of respects (2.8, focusing speed and tenacity, it is better and faster to sell used) 2. Immediately after making the purchase, select a standard protective filter to use as a viable option. Hoya HD Protect 77 mm is a gauge size. ((Do not take UV because it is a complete waste of money; you would be better off saving it for future expenses;))) 3. 17-40 and 24-105 is a way out of the situation with the difficulty of buying 24-70 for FF owners, in my opinion. Both lenses have a focal length range of 17-40 and 24-105. This is the greatest of all the terrible and ordinary lenses; it's a 17-55 mm! CONCLUSION: Be focused on the here and now! When you have enough money for the Marc III, you won't have any trouble purchasing the 24-70 2.8 or any of the other valuable lenses in the L series. With gratitude to everyone who contributed, owner 17-55 is very happy ;) After a year, I can vouch for everything that was said above. PS: Make sure the used item is in pristine shape. At a cost of between 23,000 and 25,000 dollars. And joy will be yours to experience. If you have any queries, please write them down and I will do my best to answer them. And may everything you purchase bring you nothing but happiness!

Pros
  • I have been making use of them for the past quarter of a year! Feelings are always of a good nature. The degree of quality and functionality of the focus speed is consistent throughout. They don't use any artificial hues; the colors are completely natural. Even with a hood, the Canon 60D with the 17-55mm lens looks like a very impressive and beautiful camera. Both the height and the weight are ideal for someone with my proportions (184 inches tall). There hasn't been any dust in the air for the past four months, and there can't be any - as soon as I made the purchase, I immediately wound the Hoya HD 77 mm, and my nerves are now at ease behind the front lens;) The decision to go with 17-55 was reached after a process that took seven months and including shopping, salon visits, reading online forums, and professional surveys. 24-105 or 17-55?! That was the question that needed to be answered. I chose this path for myself between the ages of 17 and 55. About the focal lengths, I thought I knew best, but it turns out that 55 millimeters works rather well for me. It is the best choice for photographing portraits and subjects in general. You'll need between 70 and 200 for the body! I was able to obtain a high-quality duplicate that lacked both rear and front focus, and after having it adjusted, the accuracy was confirmed. After using it for a year, this was added. The enthusiasm that followed the purchase has already worn off, and now I can write about what it actually is: a lens that has never let me down. There was never any consideration given to switching to the L series in its place (on these focal lengths). The focal ones were sufficient in and of themselves for 90%. I'm contemplating upgrading both the chassis and the lens (24-70 II), but given that the latter has a significantly higher price tag (((((68000), I don't want to look at any other cameras after mine. No dust inside (protective filter taxis) Even though I'm not a professional, you can see for yourself that some of my photographs have turned out well (kmk). I'm still getting the hang of things, but owing to this lens, photography has gone from being a side interest to becoming one of my go-to activities when I go on vacation. http://fotki. . Ru/users/dim6901/ Also, a word of advice: avoid purchasing lenses that are too inexpensive. In this instance, the cost is the factor that decides the level of quality.
Cons
  • Due to the lack of a lens hood and the extensive hunt for a native one (which cost 2500!) I ended up purchasing a Flama lens hood from Amazon for 350 with an inscription for Canon. The cost of it is not a detriment in any way! He's got more going for him! 77mm filters with an expensive caliber (protective 1500, polarik 3000-4500 and beyond - I'm talking about major firms here). After a year of regular use, there are no defects. And it is not at all heavy. Heavy is defined as between 70 and 200 II (1.5 kg).
