Review on 🔮 NZXT AER RGB 2 120mm Fan with Advanced Lighting Customizations and Fluid Dynamic Bearing - Black by Howie Broyles

This product is a scam. I have received an obviously refurbished or counterfeit product (see photos). I was having issues with the HUE 2's controller. This was detected in the CAM software, but the AER fan LEDs were not receiving power. The actual fans are powered separately and work perfectly. I checked all the connections using a 4 pin Molex cable and USB and pinpointed the problem to the actual controller. I noticed that the connector for channel 1 looked bent and not flush with the outer wall of the housing. When I opened the case to reveal the circuit board, I saw that the connector was badly worn. There is also significant solder around the contacts. This means that the plug has at some point been replaced/repaired and this product should be marked as refurbished. Unfortunately, it took me 30 days to install them, so I can't return them. I had no intention of buying a used/refurbished product but this is what I got. If NZXT contacts me to correct this I can change my rating.
