Unless you have a truly average sized head, do not buy this tam. The price is alluring, but the Velcro strap is not even two inches long. When we are dealing with something like head circumference, that's probably just going to cover the first standard deviation of the population. My head takes about a 7 1/2 fitted size, but this wouldn't fit if I were even a 7. I would be surprised if it fit a 6 3/4. It isn't even close for me, folks. I should have known better, but $29 sounded like a dream. But then again, so does a tenure track job teaching in the "humanities." Looks nice overall though.
