First impressions: This compressor appears to be solidly built and gets the job of inflating tires done quickly and without the annoying vibration-induced "walking" that plagues many portable compressors. Both the power cord and inlet hose are more than acceptably long for in-car use, and the pressure chuck snaps securely into place. The tote bag is nicer than expected and the overall package looks functional and well thought out. The gauge is fairly accurate, within 0.5psi when the gauge is off (pressure during operation reflects the over-inflation required to inflate a tyre, so you will need to turn the gauge off to get a correct reading ). As mentioned in other reviews, this metal head unit can get quite hot. While the engineered heatsink and fins dissipate heat well when the device is idle, temperatures can reach 130 degrees Fahrenheit in just about a minute while it is in use. This is not uncommon for small compressors of this design, but keep this in mind. So you won't be surprised if you take the metal part. This device is used for autocross and trackday tire pressure adjustments so I will be updating the device's capabilities throughout the season.
