I needed a label printer and didn't want to mess with another device that requires charging/connecting/using batteries so I chose this one over its high tech counterpart and have no regrets so far. This label printer is great, but only as long as it lasts. I've used mine for a while but it didn't help me out of the blue. I never dropped it, I never abused it. (I can guarantee no one has used it or even touched it.) I merely replaced one roll of label tape with my second roll and while it worked normally for a while, one day it stopped labeling properly and stopped working. since then. He started writing the letters, which resulted in a lot of wasted tape. I tried to reconfigure the band but to no avail. It wasn't the band's fault at all because sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I solved the problem by gently tugging the ribbon that was already sticking out each time I started a new letter to make sure the ribbon moved, but I didn't really have to do that.
