I bought some Makita 1/4 quick change hex bits like Philips, square, etc. They don't fit in my other DeWalt/Makita/Milwaukee/Bosch cases. Thought I'd give this case a try and maybe just leave the long pieces here. It is true that others are reporting the up/down issue as well as the slide lock. The lock is weak, if you throw it in the reel it will break. If it survives, you'll have to open it from the top (they put a "TOP" sticker on it, but still write your name on it) or your pieces will fall out. I ended up sending it back because it looked like a kid's lego. a toy or something and it was just too big. Went out of the big box with the new Dewalt DWAN2190 large case with clear lid for $8.
