I bought this as an everyday collar for my Maltepu, Millie! She weighs less than ten pounds and looks more like a Poodle than a Maltese, so her very curly, fluffy coat gets tangled regularly. I like to keep her fluffy long hair which gives her "weight" but she is actually a small, skinny dog with a very small neck! I was concerned that this collar would be bulky and too big for her, but it fit (I have a pink xs). Perfect for the price and style! I especially love that this brand uses rose gold hardware and not the typical ugly silver hardware you see on most collars and leashes. This brand also uses rose gold for their leashes (I ended up buying a pink retractable one with a rose gold clip to match this collar). as well as all of their other collars as they feature gold or rose gold fittings. I find this collar to be both stylish and comfortable - I think it will be great for winter and will hold up through inclement weather!
