Works very well if you can find a radio with an external plug. The only downside is that it may not work in multi-phone mode. In my case I need to set it up on one phone and connect multiple cordless phones to it. This is a newer version. The really old one had two settings so you could tweak its performance. I sold them at RS, that was in the 80's. Good luck finding one of them. when you receive it. Either way, it records great and otherwise works flawlessly. If you are facing the same problem as me, please apply the solution I have described.
