Review on Ricohome Wooden Rail Hook Mounting Plates by Rick Kreutzer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great strong versatile product!

Great bed hooks! Strength. Installing the hooks was the easiest part of installing the side rails! I used #6 1/2" screws. Side Railing Tips: The side railings were made from 1" x 6" pine boards (which I later painted). For my queen bed, I cut them to 75". (because my headboard design allowed for smaller joists. Most are 80-82" joists for queen beds). 74". It attaches to the side rail so the support beams can rest on it. Attaching this part is the HARDEST part of the project! Don't waste time on L-Brackets with small screws! They will break out under the weight of the mattress. Your mattress will collapse and the side beams will stay in place. Learn from my mistake and just use #12 screws, 2" to 2 1/4" and attach the support rail to the side beam WITH WOOD GLUE I pre-drilled the holes before adding the screws I was told I could do this every 6" through but given my bed already broken up twice chen, I didn't take any chances and instead put them in about every 2 inches. The screws I bought came in a pack of 50, so I planned on using them all. with a 62 inch bed and Vala the project was complete! Other people's comments on using this product as well as YouTube videos are the most helpful for completing this project. The metal hook plates are strong and sturdy! This is the easiest part of this project, buy them!
