As a child therapist, this toy has many great properties. It offers excellent visual stimulation with illuminated objects. Visual perception skills can be developed with the Shape Sorter. There are some pleasant causal links that are eliminated at the push of a button. There are some nice acoustic features with songs and sounds. My favorites are animal sounds, nursery rhymes and the ability to play individual notes. I'm still learning how to switch modes effectively, but there are some good instructions to help you figure out which keys to press. You have to move pretty fast to play mole and score points, and the kids I work with can't coordinate fast enough to score points, but I don't think they care. It would be nice if the speed was a little slower. Overall glad to have this item in my tools. The kids seem to love it! For the price, that's a good thing!
