Review on TP-Link 10GB PCIe Network Card (TX401) - 10 Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter for Windows/Linux, Including CAT6A Ethernet Cable by Sam Bauer

Shame on other NICs

I've been trying to take full advantage of Xfinity's 1.2Gbps speed for a while. I've tried at least 3-4 2.5GB 1x PCI cards to see which card can get me the full speed I'm paying for. This card finally does it. With this card, I was able to increase my speed to 1.4 Gbps (because Xfinity redistributes it by 20%). Other PCI 1x cards can peak at 1.1 Gb/s before falling back to 800 Mb/s, while that speed remains stable at 1.4 Gb/s across multiple speed tests. My ping is also slightly better than before. Highly recommended. This fits into a 16x slot. It will look a little strange, but it still works great. I also don't necessarily like that it costs $100, but in my opinion, with the amount of frustration I've gone through to get full speed, I believe it's money well spent for a quality product, which I hope will last for many years to come. Come on, through all my future rigs.
