Works great with Linux, ok with Windows 10, problems with Windows 11

Very happy with this card. (DISCLAIMER: When I talk about speeds in this review, I'm only referring to internet speeds, not in-network speeds) Pros: Everything worked fantastic on Linux with Pop!_OS. Just plug it in and get started, Linux will recognize it immediately. I'm supposed to get 1200 Mbps from Comcast, well I get consistent speeds of 1400 Mbps or more all the time. Very impressive. Mind you, I have a Comcast modem/router combo that supports these speeds with a 2.5Gb Ethernet port and…

10 Gb/s in the budget?

I replaced my Intel I350-T4 with this TX401 without any problems. Before installing, make sure you have already downloaded the latest drivers to a USB flash drive or directly to your hard drive. Windows 10 doesn't automatically install drivers for it, leaving you without a network connection. You don't need to reboot after installing the drivers, but you can do it just in case. I bought this to work with an Asus RT-AX89X and as you can see in my screenshot the connection is set to 10Gbps. If…

Works perfectly ! So far no problems. quick and easy installation.

TP Link manufactures a wide variety of networking equipment. Originally I tried Qnap Nic Card on my Windows 7 computer and used it on my Qnap server/network system. Unfortunately, there was an operating system crash (which rarely happens) and a BSOD. Despite changing attitudes. nothing good. Bought and installed TP Link. The physical installation took about 5 minutes, installed the drivers from the included disc, configured the settings and you're good to go. Worked fine with no problems. So…

Cannot stream to Twitch by default

. The internet was working GREAT but I couldn't connect to Twitch. I do not know why. Twitch's download search link showed NOTHING while my old network card was working fine. Why was "Receive segment aggregation" enabled in the network adapter settings. Once this is disabled (both IPv4 and IPv6) everything works fine. The NIC works fine for me now, but this setting shouldn't be on by default and they should have troubleshooting documentation on their website as it was about a second later. of a

Does NOT do 10Gb in computers and accessories

I've read a few other reviews on here that said after a lot of trying they were able to get 10Gbps but I wasn't. I have two modern PCs that I needed to connect using a 10Gb connection. Both systems feature NVME storage with a tested read/write speed of around 3000MB/s. I also bought a QNAP switch with 4 10Gb switch ports and used a new CAT6a cable. Hopefully this clears up any doubts about my setup that TP-Link support insisted on. The maximum I was able to get was a line speed of 2800 Mbit/s…

Got the 10Gbps version, looks cool and offers a smoother experience.

First of all I have to admit that I originally bought this in part because I was just looking for something to fill the second PCIEx16 slot on my MSI Z940 Tomahawk gaming motherboard as I already have a graphics NVIDIA -Got a processor in one, another reason I bought this is because I'm planning to upgrade my internet plan to a multi-gigabit plan in the future and the 2.5G port on the cellphone is broken. But after using this new card for a few days, I was surprised at how much it cost to buy…

Shame on other NICs

I've been trying to take full advantage of Xfinity's 1.2Gbps speed for a while. I've tried at least 3-4 2.5GB 1x PCI cards to see which card can get me the full speed I'm paying for. This card finally does it. With this card, I was able to increase my speed to 1.4 Gbps (because Xfinity redistributes it by 20%). Other PCI 1x cards can peak at 1.1 Gb/s before falling back to 800 Mb/s, while that speed remains stable at 1.4 Gb/s across multiple speed tests. My ping is also slightly better than…
