
I've read a few other reviews on here that said after a lot of trying they were able to get 10Gbps but I wasn't. I have two modern PCs that I needed to connect using a 10Gb connection. Both systems feature NVME storage with a tested read/write speed of around 3000MB/s. I also bought a QNAP switch with 4 10Gb switch ports and used a new CAT6a cable. Hopefully this clears up any doubts about my setup that TP-Link support insisted on. The maximum I was able to get was a line speed of 2800 Mbit/s, despite many card properties settings (flow control, large packets, RX/TX buffers, offload; everything matched on both systems and after applying the settings became individual checked). I also brought a 24-port 10Gbps copper enterprise switch from work to test and connected the computers directly to each other with CAT6a cable, but still couldn't get speeds over 2800Mbps. Surprisingly, I was able to contact the support agent via live chat. Unsurprisingly, the support rep wasn't strong enough to help me with further testing, eventually assuming the speeds were acceptable and my hardware was faulty. As part of my job, I use networks large, small, and large, and if I tell a client about it, I will certainly find myself in an awkward situation. I love to study and was hoping I could deal with these issues but instead I wasted a few hours and ended up getting them back.
