This is the third training collar I have bought. It's not that the other two were bad. They just grew into 100+ pound Pyrenees. He ignores electrocution from any of the 3 collars, regardless of strength. The beep might get his attention most of the time, but it's the vibration feature that really drives the corrective behavior. This collar has three levels of vibration and the highest level REALLY caught his attention. For the first time in a long time he is listening to the first team again. A single use of the high-vibration function was sufficient. Now he listens to the lowest setting. We reserve the high setting for extreme situations. I also like that the remote control is very thin compared to the other two I have. It fits right in my pocket while I work on the farm. A safety switch prevents accidental electrocution, but the remote's subtlety is enough to do the same. The capabilities of most collars will suffice for most dog owners, but if you rely heavily on the vibration feature, among other things, I highly recommend this. I also recommend this to anyone who wants a discreet, easy-to-carry remote control.
