NOT suitable for modern games.

Hello, I'm a fan of 8bitdo controllers and proud owner of the FC30 and SN30 Pro, both fantastic controllers in their own right. in comparison. In this review I will compare it to the FC30. The FC30 is a modern take on the classic Famicom controller. It's designed to look as familiar as possible while adding new features. It has ABX and Y buttons, 2 shoulder buttons and is designed to be playable on multiple systems including Switch and is even compatible with Smash Ultimate. In every sense, this is a retro controller brought into the modern age. However, this new controller, which I've fully tested on both PC and Switch, has none of that. It resembles a classic PC Engine controller and was designed specifically for the PC Engine Mini and it shows. Instead of ABX and Y buttons, this controller has 2 A buttons and 2 B buttons, 1 of which serves as turbo buttons. Remapping the controller doesn't fix this, meaning it's missing a lot of buttons for modern gaming. This combined with the lack of shoulder buttons would have been bad enough on its own, but this controller's compatibility with both Switch and PC has clearly been screwed up, as the controller isn't designed for Switch gaming, but it also can't even connect to PC. over a wireless network even if the wireless adapter is enabled. I understand that this controller is better for a narrower market, but I've seen 8-bit controllers do ten times better than this one. I am returning my purchase, pre-ordering was NOT worth it. We recommend you, the buyer, to go to the 8bitdo website and check out the controllers shown at the top of the webpage as they ALL are better suited for modern gaming than this one. Diehard PC Engine/Turbographix 16 fans might like this. but I find it very disappointing.
