Review on Thrilling Space-themed Basketball Set: Playz Rocket Astronaut for Curious Toddlers by Justin Miller

Great toy! Good investment

At first I was a little confused by the assembly instructions. The first two parts were just opened and everything was ready. The tent was the only piece that required assembly. After a bad experience with another tent where I picked up some fiberglass splinters, I put on two sets of disposable gloves before touching the poles. I was expecting to put them through the sleeves but in fact there are pockets at the top and bottom which I have shown in the photos. I have the longer ends on top and they fit perfectly. Inserting the latter was a little tricky, but I'd give this one a 10/10 for being easy to set up. We wanted to leave the three pieces unattached so they could be moved around easily, but the kids tied them together. We paid $50, which seemed like a relatively fair price, and I took a closer look. Appears to be well made and made of quality materials. As I said, there are no balls. I paid about $30 for 200 balls which as you can see don't quite cover the ground. However, the children seemed very happy with it. We don't want to go crazy just yet because I want to make sure the kids pick them all up and they stay in the ball pit. So far (after 3 days) they are fine. We bought this for our 3 year old son and he loves it. He immediately noticed the basketball hoop and started throwing balls at it. We tried to fit our Little Tykes slide in it but it's not very practical/too big. Our almost 5 year old girl also climbed and enjoyed it. Our almost 9 year old girl inexplicably named this her favorite Christmas present. Although she received a few other gifts that she enjoys, she spent most of the Christmas season spinning in the ball pit and enjoying the thrills. SMX. She can crawl through the tunnel but says it's a bit narrow. I saw all three of them sitting in the ball pit together, but it really wasn't crowded. However, they played very well with him. I would say it was definitely a good investment in a toy. Although it occupies most of the living room, it is easy to remove and store in a small space. The size of the package/storage is approximately the diameter of the tunnel and is only about 1" wide. I'm glad they have a lot of practice moving around in them and it would be easy to use them as separate pieces or omit one if we need space. As an added surprise, we received a receipt that promised a $5 discount, so I'm excited at the prospect of it actually costing less than I thought. I don't know if they all came along or if it was coincidence. I would say my kids are pretty rough on things. We had a tunnel like this and after about a year of intense play (they like to load it up with heavy toys and drive around the house) it ended up with exposed wires. I expect this to have a similar lifespan but still think it's worth the investment. I would keep this in mind if your kids are as gross as mine, but if not I expect it to last for many years. I'll try to update this in a year to give a better idea of the quality. Or I will update if we have any problems. If there are no updates, you can assume ours is still in good condition, which would be a good indication of its durability to withstand my kids.
