I was looking for a pasta measure in the market and was about to buy a metal one when I saw this beauty. As I got older, I realized that sometimes simple pleasures are worth paying a little more for, and in this case, it's true. The wood is beautiful and every time I take it out of the drawer to use it I feel uplifted and appreciate its beauty. It is well made, useful and practical at the same time. When our daughter was visiting and I found this, she immediately commented on how great it was and little did she know there was a tool to take the guesswork out of pasta portions. Maybe a future present? Keep in mind that it needs to be hand washed, but since it doesn't get dirty, that's not a problem. I usually just rinse it with water, leave it until the end of the meal, and then put it in a drawer while I clean the kitchen. It's pretty enough to be on display if you want to. Excellent purchase!
