Review on ☕️ KitchenAid Blade Coffee and Spice Grinder Combo Pack - Onyx Black: The Perfect Grinding Solution for Your Kitchen by Jon Joung

Not Mr. Coffee, but willing to try.

Got this to replace my Mr. Coffee which I destroyed by grinding cinnamon sticks. I read quite a few reviews because I didn't want to go through the process of buying another coffee grinder and spice grinder product again. The Mr. coffee grinder I had before was very cheap and I don't remember where I got it and I can't find it. If I could find it again I would buy it back. I was so happy. It was easy enough for me and that was all I needed. I only needed the coffee grinder, I'll take care of the spices later. In the coffee grinder Mr. Kaffee has a function where you put the beans in the cup at the desired height and then set the amount and the degree of grinding (e.g. fine, coarse, etc.). After grinding, the device stops after reaching the appropriate degree of grinding. It was perfect! And at such a cheap price (maybe $19). So I walked around with this item and doubled the price at the time of purchase. There seemed to be amazing bells and whistles covered this year in the special 2018 Revain guide. I went with the least expensive option (this product, the KitchenAid BCG211OB) and the one that seemed to fit my needs (double the price of Mr Coffee, which I broke and had to replace). After getting a KitchenAid BCG211OB I tried this morning with my beans for a good french press and was very, very disappointed. It's a frustrating hand grind (which I can do myself with other equipment and save the money I need for this Christmas!). I discovered this yesterday with my first press when I was almost grinding beans into espresso! (Today I was more tactful. Ha ha ha!). HOWEVER, this feature is great for the spice grinder options, where the KitchenAid BCG211OB comes with two additional 'bins' - each with blades - for grinding the contents with tops for each. I dont know. I have a mortar and pestle. I was looking for a grinder that would work like my old Mr. Coffee (like a "smart" grinder that shuts off at the right grind level) and on rare occasions grind the hard spices I can grind. tackle in my mortar/pestle. I tried to combine my steps. I'm not sure if the KitchenAid BCG211OB will help me with this process. I recommend it for its durability as it is very durable! It is very easy to clean, just brush out the dirt stuck under the blade and rinse. It can even be washed in the dishwasher.

Pros
  • Coffee, tea and espresso
Cons
  • May damage
