There was no easy way to clean it because the engine was lapping.

WOW! My wife and I got a Krups coffee grinder for our wedding, but it burned out pretty quickly. It was not easy to clean as the motor and chopper were in one piece. Attempting to wash it caused the water to prematurely corrode the engine. However, it has THREE cups, all of which are removable. All cups are insulated from the main body, making them easy to clean. First, it's a simple grinder cup that contains enough coffee beans to make a full 12-cup pot. The other two chopping cups are smaller

Great if you read the instructions first

This grinder is amazing. I have not used for coffee. So far I've used ground chia seeds, flaxseeds, and eggshells. I like that it has extra bins. Stainless steel is a plus. I love how you can detach it to clean and there are extra bins so you don't have to wash and wait for it to dry before using it for something else. Yes, if you overfill or grind something very fine, some dust gets inside, under the shells, but I just use a soft brush to brush the dust off. It has never dripped onto my…

Great concept, bad technology.

I really like the concept of separate grinders for coffee and spices, that's why I give this product 2 stars instead of 1. I've had this grinder for a little over 3 months, I use it once on average Day and just had to replace it. The grinding jars are supported by gears made of a rubber material that simply wears out and turns to powder over time. I've only used it to grind coffee and oatmeal, so I don't think I put too much strain on the machine. Very disappointed with this purchase Good:…

for the quality assurance and the misleading comments posted on this product. My husband gave me this spice grinder. Several people said that the spices were scattered all over the place and because of these comments he was reluctant to buy this particular one which I chose. Put simply, these people couldn't read the manuals. The high grinding cup is designed for coffee. Period. end of discussion. The short canister is for spice and the manual specifically says to put on a hard canister lid and

KitchenAid should take them off the market!

Absolutely useless product! Please don't waste your money on it! I don't know why it's Revain's choice! --- We recently moved to the US and wanted to buy all of KitchenAid's kitchen appliances despite the high prices because we heard and read good reviews about them. Coincidentally we first bought this coffee grinder and spice grinder and we were completely dissuaded by KitchenAid never to do anything else! a complete mess with all the coffee/spice on the countertop. Seems we're not the only…

This is the best spice grinder, not a substitute!

I'm a herbalist, incense maker and natural perfumer. I needed a spice grinder with additional {removable} bowls. I use a coffee grinder to grind the resin (put it in the freezer first!) and it should have a removable bowl so it's much easier to clean! These stainless steel bowls are fantastic. If resin sticks to the bowl or blade I just add a teaspoon of olive oil, shake and the resin just wipes off. I love that it comes with 3 bowls, it's absolutely perfect for my needs. Each bowl has its own…

A great idea; poor workmanship and low-quality materials

I was very happy to have found a grinder that can brew coffee separately from spices and is easy to clean - just pop the removable bowls in the dishwasher. That's theory. Here's what happens in practice. The meat grinder is smooth, with a powerful motor that grinds everything. Everything else is garbage. 1) The gears that transfer power to the blades are made of soft plastic and don't last long. It's a feature of Kitchen Aid: I had to throw away a great blender because gears made of a similar…

I use it as a spice grinder. Very good but not perfect.

i use this spice grinder and it works great. I've only tried it with a few different whole spices, but it was able to turn them into a fine powder in a short amount of time, although I had to remove the lid, mix the powder, and grind again to get a consistency of , well, consistent. Before that I had Krups which seem to be very popular and which I hated. It sanded well, but there was no way to thoroughly clean it since the bowl wasn't removable (stupid design!). However, with Kitchenaid you can

Not Mr. Coffee, but willing to try.

Got this to replace my Mr. Coffee which I destroyed by grinding cinnamon sticks. I read quite a few reviews because I didn't want to go through the process of buying another coffee grinder and spice grinder product again. The Mr. coffee grinder I had before was very cheap and I don't remember where I got it and I can't find it. If I could find it again I would buy it back. I was so happy. It was easy enough for me and that was all I needed. I only needed the coffee grinder, I'll take care of…
