This case serves a purpose, but if you're looking for solid drop protection and a more secure fit then it doesn't. Our Kindle slipped easily into the case, but the case itself is a bit flimsy. The grip gives a little and the case separates from the Kindle. The blow is in the back with foam. They are not strong pieces and I can see they will break if accidentally pulled. For the price, these shortcomings are acceptable, but I would have preferred a different case, more durable and comfortable for 5 years of use.
