Installation instructions

Also all headlights installed. Below is a detailed explanation of the quality and installation methods. For the 2015 Jeep Patriot Sport (should work with most if not all Jeep Patriot models) this pack includes 8 headlights: 2 will fit the front roof of the Patriot. 1 goes to the center of the roof. 1 goes to the back of the roof. 2 for your reversing lights. 2 are for the license plate light. The interior lighting is a bit brighter than ex works and looks very pure white. The reverse lights aren't quite as bright as the factory lights, but they're very close. The fact that it's white light makes it cleaner/brighter, but if you measured in lumens I imagine the factory light would be a bit brighter. The license plate light also looks great (I forgot to compare to the factory light so I can't comment on the brightness). I strongly recommend changing everything, you will not be disappointed. INSTALLATION GUIDE. Installing the Skylights: All skylights are installed the same way and are fairly simple. You need a small slotted screwdriver. There is a small slot on the left side of the light cover. Put the flat head in there, press down a little and pull down. The cover should pop off (it's a simple plastic tab holding it in place). Inside you will see a light, all you have to do is pull down. The light is held in place by metal clips at both ends - no tools required. Then just insert the LED light bulb (you'll understand which one - it's shaped like a cylinder). If the light doesn't turn on, twist the LED and it should work. Estimated total time: 5 minutes for all 4 interior lights. Installation of backup lights: Backup lights are those with a smaller "tail". tail is white. This is the hardest of all, but still pretty easy. You will need a flat head screwdriver and needle nose pliers (or other small pliers). First open the tailgate. Look at the inside edge of the light housing (red plastic) and you will see two quarter sized plastic circles. They are essentially plastic nails that need to be pulled out (you can see them in this image: http://assets.clickmotive.com/ail/stills_white_0640/9822/9822_st0640_049.jpg). Start with a flat head to pry them up, then use pliers to pull them out. This requires a little work. Once those two are out you can pull the sheath straight out. Lower the reversing lights - twist and pull out the lantern. Then you pull out a real lightbulb and replace it - all by hand. (Reverse the car to make sure the light comes on before closing the case. If it doesn't turn on, put it in reverse). License Plate Lights: You need a flat head. First, you'll probably need to unscrew the license plate and set it aside. Either open the trunk or lower yourself to see the lights above the license plate. They are protected by a transparent plastic case that is fully removable. If necessary, use a flathead screwdriver to push the tab through. (This shell resembles the back of a remote control. It works the same as if you had to change the batteries in the remote and remove the black plastic shell.) This shell also comes off completely. Then use your fingers to pull out the bulb and replace it with an LED bulb (the one with the long tail and rounded front). When I did this, my jeep's left light bulb was very difficult to get out for some reason. After a while I managed to get it. The right thing was easy. I hope this explains how to do everything. Took me about 25 minutes total because I'm slow. If I did it again I could do it in 10-15.
