Minimal texture, durable material

This watercolor paper is one of the cheapest watercolor papers I have ever bought. I like it because it has a very strong base and takes color brilliantly. The texture is very minimal, it feels pretty smooth, but you can see some texture when your brush is dry enough. Some may want it, some may hate it. In addition, the paper is very durable and can hold much heavier materials than watercolor (great for mixed media, collage, heavier paint). You can see in some of my photos that the paint I use contains real glass beads and the paper has no problem holding them. My only criticism is that it doesn't hold water very well and warps or warps very quickly. Waves. You have to be very careful with the amount of water on your brush when painting with watercolor which may be your style. It's terrible to do big wet washes.
