I like how it allows me to keep track of my contributions in real time, which is very helpful when I am making decisions about what funds I should invest in or if I have hit my contribution limit. It also helps streamline fund selection by giving you access to hundreds of ETFs through third party providers such as Betterment. It has been difficult to find out who has contributed where at different times throughout the year. The interface could be improved, but overall this works well enough. Having a centralized place to manage your investments made sense once we had gotten into automatic investing using robo-advisors. This service was recommended to us because they were able to offer multiple investment options including indexing and actively managed mutual funds. They did not automatically enroll employees, but allowed them to do so themselves online without any assistance. There is nothing special about this product other than its ease of use. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get.
