Review on Sony ICF-CD73W AM/FM/Weather Shower CD Clock Radio - White: Discontinued Edition - Find Yours Now! by Brittany Howard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best shower radio I've ever owned

Bought this radio over a year and a half ago and still works great Benefits 1) Digital presets: 10 FM, 5 AM. Much easier than fumbling with the dial to find a station 2) Lifespan: I've had it for almost 2 years now and it's still working well 3) Battery life: I use 4 rechargeable batteries and can usually work a full month before I do need a charge 4) Turns off when CD is done: all the others I've had didn't do this and drained the battery if you forgot to turn them off. lose your presets/clock. You can probably get rid of all 4 at once, but not for very long. I've had previous shower radios with a separate AAA battery just for the clock, it would be nice if Sony had that too. 2) As others have pointed out, you need to flip it over to swap out the CD. I don't care, but some people seem to be concerned about this. 3) It is not possible to skip to tracks at the end of the CD. I've had other players where skipping back from track 1 takes you to the last track on the CD, but not this one. This can be a problem if you have a CD with many tracks. 4) The antenna is not the best. Only picks up local stations, can't pick up stations 20-30 miles away which I can easily pick up with other radios around the house. Although, maybe because of the location of the bathroom.
