This valve WORKS! And the sliding mechanism works easier than others with buttons. This allows you to control the flow anywhere from FULL ON to FULL OFF. WE PAID AND GET ONE WITH A METAL CLOSURE instead of the cheaper plastic one. Before purchasing THIS REAL SHUT OFF VALVE, we tried it at home with $3 to $5 each. Depot because they think they are constantly dripping because they are defective. We tried one from Lowe's for $10 which was also leaked. So I researched on the internet. It seems they are now PERFECTLY intended to be dripped as this is a way for the shower person to remember to turn off the real faucet. Well we are in a remote cabin with limited water supply and we don't want to drip! We want to be responsible for turning everything WE want on and off! And when I say drips I mean LOTS of drips creating a really small flow out of the other valves. This valve is for people who want to keep it closed all the time. or decide for yourself if you want to chat a little!
