Whether this negative ion/heat/straight comb is for you depends entirely on what you are looking for. where it was less effective: Strengths - cordless operation - compact size - does not burn hair - the ion function can be used without heating - the design and accessories make it ideal for travel / gym / office / car / etc. - a simple one-button -/Dual mode operation Weaknesses - long charging time (4 to 5 hours) - one to two styling sessions per charge is enough - the smaller size may not be enough for all hair types - only one temperature setting (180°C / 356°F) around To give you more information, I've been using it for a few days to smooth and straighten very fine hair, already fairly straight and not very thick but overworked with a lot of split ends and frizz. Using the heat function of this comb definitely improves the look of my hair and gives it a sleek look. I didn't notice much of a change when using the negative ion function alone, so now I only use the heating function. I love that I can sit in front of the TV or my laptop while straightening and styling my hair with this device. I also like that it doesn't burn my hair like some of the straighteners I've used. about it before I have to charge it, but I'm afraid people with thicker hair will only get one session at most. In fact, this is a device you'll want to charge every night as it takes a long time to accept as one of its limitations. I also feel like it might not be big or strong enough to help people with really thick and difficult to manage hair as the comb itself is relatively small and there is only a lower heat setting. I would recommend this to people who want to tame their hair on the go and/or anyone who hates standing in front of a mirror to style their hair. I would not recommend this for people with exceptionally thick, unruly hair and/or anyone looking for a high temperature product.
