My son is almost 8 and the other is 17 and it's perfect for both of them to do remote school at home. Too bad I didn't buy it in August. It took less than 30 minutes to assemble and all I needed was a Phillips screwdriver. My husband was shocked to see that I didn't need his help😃 DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC SCREWDRIVER, it will split the wood as it's just wood chips. I love how convenient it is to assemble and you can choose left or right side which should have the rounded side with the shelves. Just make sure you wait until you put a small piece in the leg area. Wait until the last one or after you've decided which side will be the rounded side as you want to make sure the color lines up correctly. Now for that little thing, I don't like that it only screws on one side instead of both. It's a bit strange. I don't know if I just didn't have pre-drilled holes in the wood or if I just got 2 extra screws. I'm not sure, but it only screws on one side, and it doesn't matter which side it is on. Anyway, he's still doing great. Just don't put your feet on that rail. Another thing I didn't understand is that both drawers are fabric (they look like cube shelves) and the shelf has no back. (I assume this is because you can place the rounded side left or right again). Oh, and FYI: IF YOU BUY THIS, MAKE SURE YOU OPEN IT INTO THE GASKET FROM THE OUTSIDE! You have to take out the box piece by piece and use it to wipe out the trash can so the styrofoam balls don't mess up the entire floor. He will come EVERYWHERE! Basically this is for you. Whether you're looking for a desk for your child's homeschooling, or a simple vanity table for cosmetics and co., if you don't have a lot of desk space but still need it, and if you're using it for a laptop instead of a computer or for something not very heavy, then this is the desk for you. THIS TABLE MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR YOU IF. If you are an adult or teenager looking for a stable table for heavy things, this table is definitely NOT for you. Legroom will be a little tight for those taller, maybe 5ft 8in or so. If you're looking to put a full computer on it I'm not sure I'd even recommend it as it's a bit wonky, but if that's all then it might be fine. I've put 5* unless I've wavered a bit.
