Riding a large Kona mountain bike. And I usually just stuff a bottle of water in the pocket of a short load. But after half an hour the water is at room temperature. So I thought about using a Yeti 18 Rambler bottle which would keep the ice and water cold for days. But something that big would require a bottle cage as it doesn't fit in my pocket. Except.nothing fits. The bottle was too big for the half dozen cells I tried. Before? Enter this great work. I bought two: a cage and bottle set; and only one cage for a second bike. It's perfect for the Yeti! (I know I should have snapped a photo with a cage on a bike but I was about to post it) It's rock solid. Nicely done. The gears are smooth-running and easily adjusted to accommodate different bottle sizes with the included hex wrench. And the version with a cage comes with a nice reusable black fabric zippered pouch. Wow. so i know What about the bottle that came with it? It is also pretty. Fabulous. But once you're a Yeti head, that's all you'll be using. So someone in my circle of acquaintances gets a nice black steel bottle for Christmas.
