Save yourself a lot of hassle by purchasing the Canon MB-2720 instead. My HP 8710 has always had problems, much more than acceptable error messages and regular error messages indicating an incompatible cartridge that is not designed for a continuous ink system, even though I used HP cartridges and not a continuous ink system. While this new yellow HP 952 cleared an error in the continuous ink supply system, I later received an error message that the yellow HP 952 was exhausted without printing a yellow document. Opened the printer and all the yellow ink went into the machine. Solution = I threw away the HP 8710 printer along with all the fake HP 952 cartridges and bought a Canon MB-2720.
