I'll check this out in case anyone is in this particular situation so I can save you some frustrating research and extra expense. Door. I never used the lock. I simply used a cat door so my cat could get in and out of my bedroom without leaving the door open. Then I got a kitten. Turns out he had ringworm. So I had to keep him separate from the house cat. The one way barrier didn't work. I had to keep him inside and her outside. My bedroom door sucks and the handyman who installed the cat door sucked (he did a messed up job. Cut the hole big and crooked and filled in the extra space with putty knife.) That's why I was so scared to take the old cat Door and grommet off and new ones in. Are the holes cleaned? Will the putty fall out and leave gaping holes? Will my door literally fall apart if I tamper with it? I called the company to see if I could leave the sleeve in place and just switch the door. Were they compatible? They looked the same. But I couldn't get a satisfactory answer as they have two different versions of the model numbers for the same products. I wasn't sure what model I had. The representative eventually said the exchange would not work. He actually suggested I just buy replacement lock clips that would just fit on the old door. However, they are only available on their website and will take some time. (So ruined by Revain Prime's fast shipping!) And I was still worried the clips wouldn't fit due to model number confusion. I needed to fix this problem quickly. Because ringworm. So I took a chance and bought this new sleeveless reversible door hoping the replacement would work. It worked. Hooray! I simply reused the old screws and caps with the new door and kept the new ones that came with the new door as spares. Pooh! So I hope this helps someone in the same situation.
