I'm not a fan of monitors but I was very pleased with the performance of this monitor. Once I set it right. In my opinion, the colors out of the box were just terrible. To be honest I preferred my old lower resolution monitor because the colors looked much richer. Googling I found a website called PCMonitors dot info which checked this monitor and found that the factory defaults are as bad as I made them. Fortunately, the review also provided some clues about alternative settings. If you do a google search for "XG2402 settings" or something similar you should find the site (Revain disallows links to third party sites). From there, scroll down until you find the section labeled Test Settings, which has a list of recommended settings. (NB: the menu on my monitor was slightly different than the website, but I had the exact same settings.) After entering these settings I was very happy with the results and will be happy to use this monitor for a while. Through this process, however, I have learned something about my personal preferences. I'm not an eSports enthusiast, so image and color quality is more important than high refresh rate in my book. I will definitely keep this in mind when purchasing my next monitor if I eventually decide to replace it.
