The ThermoPro TP-20 / TP-08S digital thermometer with remote control is ideal for this occasion. The lid has a zipped compartment, ideal for placing sensors and preventing sensor cables from getting tangled. The TP-20 consists of two parts: a smaller sensor and a larger remote display. The smaller unit has a perfectly working cable trap on the back that can easily break or tangle sensors and cables. In this case, this device fits perfectly. In that case it's MUCH safer unless you want to keep the original packaging (good for casual use) or make your own. For everyone else, this case is an essential accessory for a good barbecue thermometer. I also love the portability this case offers. For example, I see relatives asking for a thermometer for a picnic. This suitcase keeps ALL the parts together. People are protected from the sharp ends of the probes. Long probes are unlikely to bend. In the end, ALL the parts will probably come home to me. Obviously one of the two orange blocks in the case is missing. Two possible small improvements: 1. The case is solid black with no space to write a name or phone number. Of course you can add a tag.2. There are no pre-planned slots for spare batteries. There is space in the pocket with a zippered lid. Is that a good present? YES SIR. It is ideal to give both this case and the TP-02 sensor. They're easy to wrap separately so different kids can give them away for birthdays, Christmas, or Father's Day. Or two fairly inexpensive gifts for a retirement party. wedding gifts? May be.
