My husband bought these to replace a pair of real leather pants that no longer fit for a cosplay costume. We compared these with the Ethanol stretch leather pants and chose these. They seem to be the weaker pair, so if you want to wear these a lot, I'd recommend the other ones. But the slightly narrower aesthetic and comfort in the crotch made these win. We chose the summer version and they were comfortable at a warm convention and outside in the cool rainy weather. They were true to size. I do not recommend putting much in the pockets--it will probably show. Luckily, we used a phone pouch on a belt for the costume. One thing others have mentioned is the odor. We're usually not so picky, but these indeed had the rotting fish smell. It seems to come from the pocket fabric and not the fake leather. We had a few weeks before showtime, so I put them inside out near an air purifier. It was not at all noticeable when worn.
