Actually, it wasn't easy. It's not impossible and the instructions aren't clear, but what you have to do with the handle is line the arrows up and pull the handle out. Trust me it's cheap and flimsy, but it works. THEN you can drag the bucket in and out of there. It gets even more confusing - how do you keep a tall, narrow bucket from falling over? How many times do you have to fill a small bucket to wash the whole house? How often do you have to refill a tiny soap bottle? Not great at all, but I love that it comes with a BUNDLE of mop heads, 6 in total. So that's it.
