It provides good support for my damaged cervical spine so I don't wake up with anything like a headache. The lady in the photo looks like she is sitting up straight with a pillow around her neck supporting her head and giving her a breather, so to speak. Though I suppose she would certainly lean back and lower the back of her chair. When I do this in my lift chair which is like an EZ electric chair that can get me to my feet or lie down almost horizontally when I recline in my chair, not quite but in a comfortable position. Angle, the pillow supports my neck well in the back but the knots on the front of the pillow hit my chin which I don't care. I personally don't think they're necessary, but still. I find this pillow to be firmer than most, but I like having a range of pillows of different firmness. I find this pillow good for eating in my lift chair or watching TV, or when I really need strong neck support. but again I'm almost ready to cut those pesky knots. Well done Bravo! The softest material, although the insides could be softer to allow the head to sink deeper.
