Bought specifically for diving. Picked up last weekend, works great. It has a nice solid grip and the strap is the perfect length to give me some room to fiddle with my camera and other gear while in the ocean anywhere from 40 to 60 feet deep. I dived to a depth of about 60 feet. To dive, simply fill the snorkel halfway with water and you can maintain neutral buoyancy so it can still float but won't lift off if the line ever comes loose. The seal on the snorkel is also waterproof. So if you ever snorkel and want to tuck something in it will stay dry but it's pretty small so don't think you can tuck it in. a couple of double AA batteries. The connection between the grip and my camera was also strong. Very sure. Once there I wasn't worried at all about the screw loosening and I even accidentally hit it there a couple of times and there was nothing to indicate it was loosening or breaking. This is a great little grip and I'm very happy with how it held up in the snorkeling conditions I picked it up in, but I'll be using it for my kayaking and snorkeling as well. I've attached a photo of the handle. with the waterproof ProShot phone case I used while diving so you can see how my device looked during the day.
