I love this dehydrator! I bought one over a decade ago and eventually had to replace it. I have used it religiously for the past 7 years to make healthy treats for my dog and it has paid off countless times. It's a simple on/off switch, hooking it up to a timer was the only additional control I needed. Considering the age of my last one I was pleasantly surprised they still make it, I now have double the number of trays. It's a bit noisy, but when I use it, I put it in my laundry room. keep the door closed and turn on the exhaust fan so the whole house doesn't smell like I'm dehydrated so I don't care about the noise. It's not high tech. This is not a pretty design. It's not fashionable. It just works. It works very well and lasts a very long time. I highly recommend it.
