A bit noisy but good dehydrator for beginners

I was a bit disappointed when it first arrived but I tried it and it worked fine. Although it wasn't as quiet as I had imagined. It was not so bad. One thing I will get next time is adjustable temperature control. This only works at around 145 degrees Fahrenheit, so herbs will dry in around 2 hours and peppers and tomatoes in around 9 hours. Everything went well. This is Revain's lowest price and you get what you pay for. let's see how long it lasts.

Worked great for drying vegetables for 4 months when it worked

Update. Got a replacement and ran it again to casually dehydrate the veggies. It's still very noisy, but mysteriously hasn't stopped working. ** UPDATE * 4 months of occasional use it stopped working. As other reviews say, it's noisy. It's not stupidly loud, but it's like turning an exhaust fan on minimum. It works about 8 hours and the fruits look like they are drying well. Will update if my mind changes. The instructions mention that the fruit tray is not included.

It's simple but works great

I love this dehydrator! I bought one over a decade ago and eventually had to replace it. I have used it religiously for the past 7 years to make healthy treats for my dog and it has paid off countless times. It's a simple on/off switch, hooking it up to a timer was the only additional control I needed. Considering the age of my last one I was pleasantly surprised they still make it, I now have double the number of trays. It's a bit noisy, but when I use it, I put it in my laundry room. keep the

Great car, but what a rumble.

I received one of these as a gift and had a blast making jerky, chicken strips for my dogs (good idea since the Chinese are poisoning our dogs) and dried herbs from my garden. I even wrote my own jerky recipe that friends are now asking for. I used it for a few years and the motor died. The only complaint I have is that it's loud as hell. I had to send him to my workshop in the basement to make something. A bit of a nuisance, but for $35 it's a pretty good buy. When he died I replaced him with…

Treat yourself - great price and great product!

I was very hesitant to buy a dehydrator. I've wanted one for so long, but didn't want to leave another kitchen gadget in the basement. In the end, the price made me buy it. I checked out Kohl's and other places and Revain's was at least $15 cheaper. I've looked everywhere and found this to be the best price. It is lightweight and very easy to clean. I hand washed everything with no problem. I'd call it fallacy because there's a switch to turn it on and off and that's it - easy as pie. It is…

Very cool! in Small Appliances

I had never used a food dehydrator and had no idea how many creations could be made with this simple appliance. There is no temperature control, but if you follow the leaflet that comes in the box you don't need to change the temperature, just the length of time something is dehydrating. I contacted Nesco to see if it's safe to go at all. night and they said it was a personal preference. There seem to be two safety mechanisms that prevent fires. I also asked how long it can stay without a break

Works for what I bought it for.

I bought this to make chicken jerky for my dog. With the recent panic surrounding the recall of Chinese cured foods, I figured it would be best to make my own. I sliced the chicken breast very thinly and put it in the dehydrator. I was amazed to see that the chicken dried in just 3 hours. Next time I'll think about slicing the chicken thicker, but either way the machine is excellent. Dried out the chicken in a short time. However, drying fruit and beef didn't impress me. In the dehydrator I put

Absolutely useless. It may seem

This product was completely useless. He died two hours after first use. So much for the claims that the company "made it in America." The product is absolutely caustic. This is Nesco's second dehydrator in the last year. The first dehydrator, the 700-watt FD 75, also died immediately. However, only two applications were necessary. I actually tried this piece of shit twice. This pathetic machine couldn't even collect a batch of jerky. At least he died during Revane's return time. The same cannot
