Second day with the cleaner and very happy with my choice. I smelled and felt a difference in my breath within 20 minutes of starting. I'm in the Bay Area and am experiencing horrible air quality due to a campfire. I got sore sinuses and a bad cough after 6 days of smoking and wish I had ordered this cleanser a few days ago. I had to leave the area for three days, it got that bad. The air purifier made our living room livable and I could breathe without coughing after about an hour when it was running at top speed. good (blue) at low speed. After about 20 minutes, I noticed a high-pitched hum rather than fan noise. I tried to ignore it and fell asleep at first. About 2 hours later I was woken up by a noise. I turned off the air purifier and wondered if I was going to throw up again. Not me. At higher fan speeds, the hum is not noticeable, the fan noise drowns it out. At higher speeds, however, the fan noise is very noticeable. There were no problems during the day, but it was a little awkward at night. I tested the air purifier in different parts of our small house. Closer to the windows, the air quality indicator turned yellow. The center was blue. When cooking, the cleaner showed red, though not in the kitchen (but our kitchen opens into a small dining area that opens into the living room - about 2.5m from the edge of the kitchen to the edge of the living room). An hour after the end of cooking, it turned yellow and finally blue. It seems to remove outside smoke and kitchen particles/odours. It's easy to use and I love the design of the tower.
