Bought LEDs to replace perfectly working lightbulbs in my Tahoe, mainly to reduce battery drain when the door is left open but pleasantly surprised by the greatly increased light output compared to the original lamps when I was 22 years old. Automobile. Not sure how much space there is for each bulb (my car has 10) I chose this bulb because it is the exact size of the original. No regrets as I rated "basic" vs "optimal". If you tweak, here are some observations that might lead you to a different bulb: The light is fairly cool white. Not my favorite but probably wouldn't notice such a strong tint compared to the very warm color of existing bulbs if I replaced everything in one sitting. - LEDs are aligned front and back in the same plane. I think the map turn signals in my car would benefit from LEDs on the end of the bulb like some larger bulbs do. Still much brighter than the original. They require correct polarity to work. Just swap them out if they don't ignite, but be sure to check them before reassembling the light.
