Review on 🔌 Monoprice Affinity Series Speaker Banana Plug with 24k Gold – 10 Pairs by Travis Karren

Not knowing anything about hooking up speakers or banana plugs I just bought these based on the reviews. I've seen others comment on how beautiful they look on their speakers and I don't see them making much of a difference as all I see is a piece of red or black plastic coming out of the back. They look solid and have a lot of weight. As soon as you unpacked the packaging, you could feel the high quality. These connectors have two small pan head screws that you need to loosen, then insert the wire into the connector and tighten the screws. There's a small piece of insulation in there, I don't know if I should just throw it away, but I did. The 14 gauge wire fits perfectly and shows no signs of slipping. The screws seem to fit most sizes. The reason I like them is because I don't have to fan out the wires, I just twist them and plug them in. You'll need a tiny flathead screwdriver, like the ones you use for eyeglasses. Of the 20 ports, two had problems. One had no screws so I just borrowed one from another connector. Another had the top screw so stuck I couldn't get it out, so all I had to do was slide the wire up to the top screw and tighten the bottom screw. The speakers sound great but I don't have any other jacks to plug into. Compare them to so I'm not sure it matters.
