It doesn't stretch to get longer like the picture.
One of the reasons I bought this ring light was because the picture shows the light can be adjusted to a height of up to 66 inches, but my light doesn't fit that height. Overall this is a good product and I would definitely recommend it if you want a short table lamp but again I wish the lamp was taller. I wish they would make it clear that it comes in different heights or that some lamps are not height adjustable.
