So a few months ago I decided to start running and was looking for the right shoes to start with. I wanted a big name brand, not some weird Amazon brand, because I knew good shoes were important. Adidas at $35 was a steal. So I laced them up and took them off. They were comfortable and soft and really helped me get into my running rhythm. As I progressed, I noticed a slight numbness. My longest run in these shoes was just under 5 miles and just after 4 miles my feet were numb and my ankles hurt for days. Did a gait analysis and the pads are not very suitable for my type of running. Bite the bullet with the Brooks Revel 4 running shoes and it's awesome. I've still used them for sub 3 mile runs but if you need cushioning for your runs they are great.
