Review on πŸ”’ Erickson 09160 Wheel Chock Kit with Tie-Downs by Brent Walker

Use structural bolts instead of lags.

They are high quality and keep the back of my Honda Rancher from sliding. It's not very convenient to put on the back of a cargo trailer, but I only see a few times when I need to take it off. I used 3 1/4" structural screws instead of lags. as strong or durable as tree trunks. I used my cobalt driver to compress them all which took about 2 minutes total. Also makes removal easy. The only one Downside to this approach is that I rely on the strength of the wood to hold them down, but with 6 screws each I think it will be fine. The holes in it are just the right size for these types of screws.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Problems
