Keeps water out and water in

Looks cool, works in the sun but for the first storm of water you need more drain holes or some kind of rubber grommet to seal it better. They block the sun. My floorstanding speakers are waterproof, I just don't know how waterproof. Big storms, if you don't check often they will fill you up.
